The Director General of the National Business Center (NBC), Mr. Etugert Llazi, together with representatives from the NBC and the Ministry of Economy and Innovation, conducted an official working visit to Padua, Italy, at InfoCamere — the institution responsible for managing Italy’s business register system and digital business services. The visit took place within the framework of the ongoing interinstitutional cooperation and the support provided by the Italian side for the modernization of the NBC’s technological infrastructure.

During the workshop organized at InfoCamere’s premises, NBC representatives and Italian experts discussed the implementation of a modern and advanced registration and reporting system based on the international XBRL standard, the integration with existing systems, as well as the data migration process toward the new platform.

Special attention was given to ensuring the new system’s compliance with European Union directives, the protection of personal data, and the enhancement of transparency in the operation of the business register. The discussions also covered the interconnection with the BRIS system, aimed at enabling interoperability between the Albanian business register and European business registers.

The Albanian delegation was introduced to the Italian model of a fully digital business register, including the use of electronic identification and electronic signatures, as well as InfoCamere’s cybersecurity standards and technological infrastructure management practices. As part of the visit, the delegation also toured the institution’s Data Center, where the technological capacities and operational organization ensuring service continuity were presented.

The meeting was held in three parallel sessions addressing legal and regulatory aspects, technical and IT-related issues, as well as the economic impact of the business register reform.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the parties discussed the next steps of the Albanian Business Register reform project, including the governance model, participating institutions, and the implementation phases of the new system. This cooperation is expected to contribute directly to improving business services, increasing efficiency, and further aligning the NBC with European standards of digitalization and transparency.
